<\/a> when suddenly a black car jumped out of a parking space right in front of us. My taxi driver slammed on his brakes, skidded, and\u00a0missed the other car by just inches!<\/p>\nThe driver of the other car whipped his head around\u00a0and started yelling at us.<\/p>\n
My taxi driver just smiled and waved at the guy.\u00a0And I mean, he was really friendly.\u00a0So I asked, Why did you just do that? This guy almost ruined your car and sent us to the hospital!’<\/p>\n
This is when my taxi driver taught me what I now call<\/p>\n
‘The Law of the Garbage Truck’<\/strong><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/strong>He explained that many people are like garbage trucks.\u00a0They run around\u00a0full of garbage, full of frustration,\u00a0full of anger, and full of disappointment. As their garbage piles up, they need a place to dump it\u00a0and sometimes\u00a0they’ll dump it on you<\/p>\n Don\u2019t take it personally!<\/p>\n Just smile, wave, wish them well, and move on.\u00a0Don’t\u00a0take their garbage and spread it to other people\u00a0at work, at home, or on the streets.<\/p>\n The bottom line is that successful people<\/strong>\u00a0<\/strong>do not let garbage trucks take over their day.<\/strong><\/p>\n Life’s too short to wake up in the morning with regrets, so …\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n Pray\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>for the ones who don’t<\/em><\/strong>.<\/strong><\/p>\n Life<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0is ten percent what you\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>make it<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0and ninety percent how you\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>take it!<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n \n \nHave a\u00a0<\/strong>\u00a0garbage-free day!<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Are you an UltaLifer?
