Do you have GOALS and DREAMS? Have you achieved them? There is a song we sometimes sing in my\u00a0church\u2014\u2018Don\u2019t Give Up On the Brink of a Miracle!\u2019 And that is what I am saying to you also!! I have\u00a0often wondered how many times we just give up\u2026.when success and fulfillment are just around the\u00a0corner. Don\u2019t Give Up\u2026.EVER<\/strong>!!<\/p>\n

My boss used to relate this story about race car drivers and how they are trained. They \"\"<\/a>are taught to\u00a0always keep their eye on the goal (the PRIZE) and never look to the right or left or behind. In a real car\u00a0race, there can be collisions on every side\u2026cars might bump into your car or try to cut you off. If you\u00a0look towards these \u2018distractions\u2019, you will start instinctively steering in the direction you are looking\u2026.what you are focusing on. And this kind of focus can end in utter destruction.<\/p>\n

Your job is to keep focusing on your goals and dreams. Don\u2019t get caught up in what went wrong (or\u00a0might go wrong) or other problems\u2026people\u2019s opinions, etc. Know what you want to achieve and keep\u00a0moving towards that goal. As we approach a New Year, we tend to make resolutions. We reflect on our\u00a0lives in the past year and set goals for the New Year. If you let distractions and obstacles defeat you and\u00a0distract you, you will never achieve those goals.<\/p>\n

As you approach a New Year, I would encourage you to do these things every single day:<\/p>\n

**Be thankful<\/strong> for all the good things in your life!<\/p>\n

**Don\u2019t stress<\/strong> over things that might happen\u2014how often we worry about things that never take place!<\/p>\n

**Be sure what you want in your life\u2014make a list of your goals and dreams<\/strong>!<\/p>\n

**Take care of yourself mentally, emotionally and physically<\/strong>! Spend time with friends\u2026.take a break from the stresses of everyday life\u2026exercise to keep your body strong (just walking is fine). Be good to yourself.<\/p>\n
